Falling Into Pluto (Simulation)

An interesting simulation of falling into Pluto. To my mind it captures both the eerie remoteness of Pluto and something of the cold, indifferent vastness of the universe. We project our romantic notions across the universe but they aren't reflected back. Beyond our Earthly smear of warmth and moisture there is only physics.

  1. At the end, I see that the same team have done another video called "Falling into Uranus". Physics takes us to some strange notions.

  3. Talking of Pluto, was I the only wee boy who found Disney products woefully unentertaining?

  4. Sam - that one could be interesting, but I didn't fancy putting it up as a post title.

DJ - and global warming has a really long way to go

dearieme - I don't recall liking Disney either, I was more likely to watch stuff like Popeye, Lone Ranger or in the cinema, Moby Dick.
