Fox is a really odd bloke. His appearance on Question Time was utterly brilliant. He believes pretty much the same as I do. Yet his tactics and delivery are completely lame. No more effective than any other reasonably articulate bloke down the pub. That's odd, coming from an actor. I wish him well, but don't really know what to make of him.
Sam - yes he does come across as the reasonably articulate bloke down the pub. I like that because he comes across as authentic. That could be the actor doing authenticity, although I don't think so. Nigel Farage makes a better job of delivery, but he isn't as authentic as Fox.
I had to move on after a couple of minutes. I do not know if he is a good actor, but he put up a performance, as he did on this video, he would never be gainfully employed again.

DAD - I couldn't listen to a long talk, but for a short video I like it, I find it authentic compared to some more polished speakers.
