  1. Excellent comments from an intelligent prophetic voice. What he says can be equally applied to Britain.

  2. Sam - yes it can be equally applied to Britain. Plus number of other countries across what was once the developed world.

  3. A modern English translation of a Bible verse (Mark 6:4):

But Jesus said, "Prophets are honored by everyone, except the people of their hometown and their relatives and their own family."

I'm not a believer but the Bible (and Shakespeare etc.) has some pithy sayings that resonate. It's interesting to speculate how political parties regard their leaders... perhaps "familiarity breeds contempt"?

  4. DJ - it's an interesting question as political parties do seem to see their leaders as a temporary means to an end for the party, not the voters. So a narcissist leader can be useful party politically, however destructive in a wider sense.

James - that seems to have been the global intention for a few decades at least.

  5. Yes, it's as if they sat down together and asked themselves, ' how best can we really wreck society in the West?' They then put into effect a series of disastrous measures whilst preaching about what a success it had all been. Takes my breath away.

  6. Tammly - it certainly seems deliberate. As is sometimes said - outcome shows intention.
