Commenter dearieme has suggested regular posts on twaddle encountered while browsing the internet. Good idea, submissions welcome - if I receive them I'll post them. It probably won't be particularly regular as nobody wishes to spend too much time in twaddle swamps.

  1. It was from a comment left by someone on a financial article wherein a gazillionaire had demonstrated his financial genius by observing that cash is a more attractive asset when interest rates are high than when they are low. Did you ever?

  5. Doonhamer - yes it could easily be part of a comedy sketch, a parody of business babble for example.

    Sam - that's the main downside, the temptation to trawl the Guardian.

  6. I just love Peter Sellers' impersonation of Alec Guinness in 'Kind hearts and coronets', which isn't actually twaddle, but just a fabulous description...
