I was going to say that heading up to Matlock probably wasn't a good idea! I imagine the A6 bridge crossing over the Derwent at Whatstandwell might require a 4wd or tractor...
Dave - there has been some flooding on the A6, but we've decided to stay where we are for a day or so to let it drain away.
Sam - it's very light here now but yes, doom seems to be written in the sky. Sainsbury's was packed with people who don't seem to realise what it all means.
