Scan two words and move on

Climate change...

It's interesting how climate change has introduced marked efficiencies into daily media headline scanning. In this example it's a case of scanning two words before moving on.

Editors must be aware of it, but still they have to do it. Sums up the whole game in a way.

  1. It's probably also a ruse to get an article read by the doomsters and researchers, as it will then appear on any search for "climate change". Most of the researchers will probably be kids doing school projects, but hey, clicks means advertising revenue and status points for the editor.

  2. Sam - yes, it's just clicks and unfortunately I added one. The propaganda seems particularly intense now people seem to be more generally aware of the personal sacrifices they are expected to make for Net Zero.
