People were understandably frightened in the early days of the epidemic - they are going to be really pissed when they realise how ineffective all their sacrifices were.
Due to spam comments and now the UK Online Safety Act, comment moderation is on. Anonymous or impolite comments or comments likely to be flagged by the system are liable to be treated as spam.

DJ - and the ineffective nature of those sacrifices is bound to come out for those who pay at least some attention to what goes on. I hope so.
