He could call it the Now Close Your Windows One Point Plan.

That's not going to hit his target for creating 250,000 new jobs, though. We need a new team of local authority window closers, a bit like the old lamp-lighters. Or maybe he could offer subsidies for a quarter of a million rich people to employ butlers and maids.
ReplyDeleteEither way, it's a certainty that there will be enough unemployed people around to do these jobs.
Opening Widows is a sore point here. I can't make some of the software work as well as it should...

During the Spanish flu it was found that opening the all the wards' windows improved survival rates. Plus ca change...

Ed - it may be that these days too many people spend too much time indoors. Even before the coronavirus mess we thought supermarkets were a source of coughs and colds and possibly flu.
