I like the acting, too. The robot monster ambles around and carries fainting women like an Idaho farm boy would. Which I guess is not too far from the truth.
The same applies to all the Yeti and Bigfoot videos. They stroll about like a man going for the morning papers.
Watch Ed Wood's 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' https://www.amazon.co.uk/Plan-9-Outer-Space-DVD/dp/B00005KH0Y
I remember from early 60s Saturday morning cinema, a trailer for a sc-fi film showing a giant white gorilla climbing up the outside of a space rocket (in space).
Ah Sackerson, Saturday morning pictures was a rich and fertile ground for films and serials such as this, they fell into the hooray boo category along with cowboys and Indians. And if you were cunning you could have a birthday on stage almost weekly !
Sam - as if it wasn't supposed to be scary, because how do you scare people who recently lived through a world war?
Sackers - not so long ago I was tempted to watch Plan 9 From Outer Space to see why it is said to be entertainingly bad but never got round to it.
Scrobs - I never watched Love thy neighbour - at the time we didn't have a TV. Those were courting, marriage and first house years too.
Wiggia and Sackers - I vaguely remember a comic series where a crimefighter had a jet engine strapped to his back because I recall thinking his heels would be burned. And other bits I suppose.

@Wiggia: and then there was a British sub-Superman cinema serial, of a crimefighter who had a jet engine strapped to his back. Remember, anyone?
