My brother owned a Saab 96 estate same colour it had the Ford V4 engine not the earlier two stroke of rally fame, strange tastes my brother he also had a 2CV van with extra windows, sort of early Skoda Roomster.
Certainly not good for pedestrians, but with a little adaptation a wonderful chipper as in potatoe.

ReplyDeleteSam - good point but would the mesh obscure the pilot's view with enemy motorists coming in at two o'clock?
ReplyDeleteMalcolm - I never owned a Saab but a family member was keen on them and owned several. A pity the company didn't survive.

Wiggia - you don't see many 2CVs left on our roads. A pity because they were certainly quirky.
