Eccles cake power
The view from the spot where we ate our morning snack on the hills above Chatsworth. Eight miles on one Eccles cake, but that's the power of Eccles cakes for you.

ReplyDeleteI trust that was one Eccles cake each as I would think eight miles on half an Eccles cake would be a bit much even for an Eccles cake.

ReplyDeleteMac - it was one each but in winter it would be at least two each.
Great minds think alike it is said. At our local Farmers' Market yesterday was a stall with real Eccles cakes. Fuel for the gods. I bought some.
ReplyDeleteDemetrius - unfortunately our best Eccles cake shop has closed down so I may even have a go at making them myself.
ReplyDeleteEccles cakes are a bit crumbly though for hikes.
ReplyDeleteJames - not too bad if you wrap them well and make sure they aren't bounced around while walking. Worth the effort.
