I'm not sure the test card was ever that interesting even on a huge console model. Better than Terry and June I suppose.
I have this image of a nice sitting room where detectives burst into the room riding on a brown-box telly.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely better than Terry and June, but the test card always had competition in our house from the interval, the never ending river, the potters wheel..........joy
ReplyDeleteRoger - a modern flat screen TV would be big enough is used like a flying carpet. Sounds like a short story.
