    Jewels or tombstones? Radio 2, Radio 3 and LBC have proved a boon lately as has the channel changer and the video tape machine.

    Now consider May 7th 2016 - will the economy boom, will young people be picking up keys to happy new homes, will all the intractable problems have evaporated like mist? No.

    Johnson would have been very familiar with Lichfield Cathedral and all the memorials there as well as a number in London. Memento mori.
