If the devil-gas escapes?


In this carbon capture lark we are supposed to store CO2 in underground suppositories... or maybe that should be repositories. Anyhow, what happens if the appalling stuff slips out and worms its fiendish way back into our atmosphere?

Nothing.

Really?

Yes.

Phew...

Hang on - surely there’s a lesson in there somewhere?

    It will mean turning the fridge up to chill the fizz. There really ought to be expert government advice on this, otherwise the fizz may have a different carbon effect.

    "Carbon capture" does sound a bit like "Gotcha, ye little devil!"

    How about a boom in artificial diamonds, that should lock it up.
