Money bush

Can anyone call me mercenary after that? Though Miss Crutty had twelve thousand pounds, and Mary only ten (five in hand and five in the bush), I stuck faithfully to Mary.

    Me too. I believe there are clubs where girls can collect the punters' cash that way. Few in Derbyshire, I suspect.

    Sam - none that I know of - we live pure and healthy lives.

    James - she was, but she lost half of her money so he chose the other one. Mind you, he didn't get her either.
