Stupid, odious or both?

From the Independent

Lib Dem conference: Pensions could boost home ownership, says Nick Clegg.

So reducing the price of houses isn't one of Nick's options while screwing the last bent farthing out of any poor sod who wants to buy a grossly overpriced brick box, plus screwing their parents and grandparents - that's okay with Nick.

I'm fine with helping young people to buy their own home. That's not it. But houses are far more expensive than they need be and government could actually do something about it. Won't but could. Unfortunately lower house prices means smaller mortgages and we all know bankers aren't so keen on that. Even Nick knows, although that's not how the odious creep would put it.

So this is a banker-friendly policy Nick is advocating here - as we might expect from such an unspeakable and unprincipled shyster.

I for one just can't understand it. Banker-friendly without doubt, but he has to posture like a man who actually cares about ordinary people. Perhaps there is something about the way Lib Dems formulate their policies. They seem to have been written by a committee, and foisted upon the leaders who patently don't believe in them. Absolutely lacking in direction, coherence, and credibility.

An immature child - and what about the other two - the same. Baby-faces the lot of them. What a lousy electoral choice we have - crap - crap or crap.

A (long) while back it did not matter much if incompetents were in charge, natural economic growth meant their mistakes would pale after a year or two. Now there is no growth and incompetence shows up pretty quickly.

Now that Mr Farrage looks slightly more mature, a stinker but a mature stinker.

Biggest load of old bollocks since the university fees fiasco, why the hell are we still putting up with the Eton dorm gang?

'...government could actually do something about it'

What, and devalue the nice little nest eggs they've built up thanks to their allowances?

There was never any hope for a fair housing market as long as the expenses system effectively subsidised the lucrative on-the-side property developing enterprises of MPs.

Sam - I wonder if someone wants to be rid of Nick and he's too dim to see the elephant trap?

Roger "Baby-faces the lot of them."

It keeps hitting me like that. I don't know if it's just an age thing, but you are absolutely right - no hint of maturity.

Angus - yet millions will still vote for them, thinking one lot is better than the other.

Mac - unfortunately you are right and that's a good point. They aren't in the same boat are they?

All of those, plus he's a cry baby and unfaithful [Cleggover]. Is he good for anything?

James - not that I know of.
